Some Fallow Fellows by Dead-Raccoons Some Fallow Fellows by Dead-Raccoons
I like drawing deer and I want to step out and try drawing some different species in the cervine family. These are fallow deer. They look like nice and very British fellows. I could imagine them having names like "Harold" or "William." :D Enjoy!

Art, me.

Those legs look great :) And those little white spots must have been a pain not to forget or color into!

I think it's cute how fallow deer still have their spots as adults. I love the way you draw their legs. :)

They might let you. :) As I understand it, fallow deer are native to Europe. Are there any near where you live? <Sorry if I sound ignorant.>

And how are you, by the way? :)

Haha no worries- I'd probably know nothing about the makeup of your local wildlife :P Yeah, there are fallow deer in this country, though I've never seen one- the woods near my dad's farm always had red deer (closely related to american elk) and roe deer, which are just damn cute. Other places in the UK have some exotic species like muntjacs and Chinese Water deer, which both have flippin' fangs!

Yeah, Chinese Water Deer sound badass! :D

How large are the red deer? Do they ever attack people? My brother lived in Montana for several years and would tell stories of how the rutting elk bulls would charge vehicles. *shivers*

Not quite as bulky as elk, I think... They have them living free in some of the parks in London, and you do get the odd person getting chased off by amorous stags if they or their dogs get too close, but generally pretty peaceful if you leave them be :P
